Today, the Partnership for American Innovation (PAI), together with Microsoft and other partners, released a new video entitled “Patents Fuel the American Dream.”
The video highlights how patents continue to play a central role in the global marketplace and have pushed our domestic economy forward by encouraging innovation across all industries, from medicine to manufacturing and technology.
Today, America’s intellectual property is worth more than $5 trillion and sustains more than 40 million jobs, accounting for more than half of country’s economic growth. Members of the PAI alone invest more than $40 billion in research and development each year, which has created more than 1.2 million jobs.
For the U.S. to continue as a land of opportunity and a leader in innovation, American companies must continue to incentivize and protect inventions with our strong and fair patent system.
