Microsoft has partnered with Seattle area hospital systems, EvergreenHealth and Overlake Medical Center & Clinics and Public Health – Seattle & King County to host a public community vaccination site at our campus headquarters in Redmond, Washington, called the King County Vaccination Partnership-Redmond.

Anyone in the community who meets the Washington State Department of Health’s eligibility guidelines, including uninsured Washingtonians, can register to be notified when a vaccination appointment is available (pending vaccine supplies). Vaccines are being administered for free by health care professionals from EvergreenHealth and Overlake.

Microsoft is supporting this important effort by covering all the costs of this vaccination site, offering technology support, staffing resources and our Puget Sound campus. Starbucks has provided their expertise in human-centered design, workflow optimization and operational efficiency to help the site run productively and equitably for all communities. This location is not a special site for Microsoft employees, but rather for all eligible people in the community, according to the vaccine allocation and prioritization guidelines set by the Washington State Department of Health.

As the COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately impacted minority and underserved communities, the site also aligns with Public Health – Seattle & King County’s equity principles. Microsoft unequivocally supports equitable distribution and is committed to using our resources to support our community’s most vulnerable and underserved populations. We are grateful to Public Health – Seattle & King County for continuing to provide counsel on the best ways to reach and serve these communities as we take the next step to serve more of the eligible public.
