Nokia takes the wraps off of the Lumia 2520 Windows tablet at Nokia World

On Tuesday at Nokia World in Abu Dhabi, Nokia unveiled the 10.1-inch Lumia 2520 tablet, powered by Windows 8.1 RT.

The Lumia 2520 will come in a wide array of colors, including red and white in a glossy finish, and cyan and black in a matte finish. Its 10.1-inch, 1080p display features Corning Gorilla Glass 2 with almost 180 degree viewing angles.

“On the inside, the Lumia 2520 comes powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset with built-in high-speed LTE connectivity,” writes Brandon LeBlanc in a post over on the Windows Experience Blog. “The Lumia 2520 has a 6.7 megapixel rear camera with 1.9 aperture, providing great low-light images and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Nokia is including ZEISS optics in the Lumia 2520 and special Nokia imaging algorithms to extend the amazing camera experience seen on its phones into their tablet.”

A special wrap-around cover with a built-in keyboard and track pad – called the Nokia Power Keyboard – will also be available for the Lumia 2520, LeBlanc writes. The Nokia Power Keyboard also gives you up to five extra hours of battery life and two USB ports.

The Lumia 2520 will be available beginning in the fourth quarter of 2013, with an estimated price of $499. Initially, the Lumia 2520 will roll out in the U.S., the United Kingdom and Finland, with additional countries later. The Nokia Power Keyboard will be available alongside the Lumia 2520 at the estimated price of $149. It will come in red and black.
