Microsoft Ventures makes first investment: SkyGiraffe

On Tuesday, it was announced that Microsoft Ventures has made its first seed-stage investment: Tel Aviv, Israel-based SkyGiraffe.

“SkyGiraffe provides a SaaS platform that helps businesses deploy enterprise-grade mobile applications on any device immediately and without the need for writing code,” writes Raul Sood, general manager of Microsoft Ventures, in a post over on the Microsoft Ventures Blog.

Given the demand for smart phones and tablets in the workforce, application services are a strategic priority for enterprise companies. This investment will help them propel their business to the next level, Sood writes.

SkyGiraffe was co-founded by Boaz Hecht and Itay Braun started in 2012 and was part of the BizSpark program and Microsoft Ventures Accelerator in Israel.
