When Kat Holmes and a few other designers at Microsoft saw Spike Jonze’s slightly futuristic, boy-meets-artificial intelligence love story last year, they left the theater inspired and obsessed with the question: How can human emotions inspire new interactions with technology and each other?
That was the start of a design experiment between Motherboard, Warner Brothers Studio and design students in L.A. and NYC. Their mission was to explore the impact of emotion on human machine interaction.
