University of Washington Scientists Engage In Basic Mind Control
Breakthrough Could Someday Help Those with Limited Motion
The power to control someone else’s mind has been a staple of science fiction movies for decades. Now two University of Washington researchers have managed a basic form of mind control, MSN News reports in “Scientist controls colleague’s brain from across campus.”
Scientists said Tuesday they have achieved the first human-to-human mind meld, with one researcher sending a brain signal via the Internet to control the hand motion of a colleague sitting across the Seattle campus of the University of Washington. — Reuters via MSN News, 8/27/13.
