This week in Washington, DC, Microsoft hosted the U.S. Finals for the eighth annual Imagine Cup, a global competition that challenges young people to develop new technologies to help achieve the United Nationsâ Millennium Development Goals. Fred Humphries, managing director of federal government affairs, authored an op-ed, published Wednesday in The Hill, explaining the critically important purpose of the Imagine Cup: to help encourage more young people to develop the interest and skills in science, math and digital literacy that workers will need to succeed in a 21st-century global economy.
