Updates for Excel can not be installed on my computer. It's very annoying to continue to be asked to install them while knowing it will never be successful.

Every time I start my computer I have to set the firewall to come on.

I thought it was automatic to start when my computer starts?

I am running Windows 7 on my new laptop & over the last 2 weeks whenever my os does a critical update I can no longer connect to the internet no matter which browser I use.  Once I go to System Restore & go back to past date, can I again connect to the internet.  Is there a fix for this problem?  Has anyone else had this problem
