New federal lawsuit seeks to preserve DACA

Microsoft joined Princeton University and a Princeton student in filing a complaint in federal court today challenging the termination of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.  The complaint explains that termination severely harms the student and other Dreamers and the employers and educational institutions that rely on and benefit from their contributions.

Microsoft has been a proponent for a lasting solution to protect DACA beneficiaries, joining others in urging Congress to quickly pass bipartisan legislation. The company also recently joined over 100 companies in a new friend-of-the-court brief filed in the U.S. District Court at San Francisco in the five cases challenging the termination of DACA.
