Back in November 2011 I authored a post titled Hotel rooms of the future that was inspired by a Departures magazine piece featuring the work of Adam Tihany.
Over a year on and I’m back at the same topic inspired by a post on PSFK about a prototype hotel that has touch sensitive tablet walls. Spain’s Serrano Brothers prototype “ITH Room Xperience” has multitouch transparent walls that can be controlled by a smartphone or Surface as well as ‘interactive floors and mirrors, and a fingerprint payment system’.
The walls caught my eye as they were ‘running’ Windows 8 and I’m getting close to installing a wall based version myself using some tech from Ubi Interactive. More on that at a later date…
