Tech Tuesday is Hack Manhattan’s weekly general interest open house. Don’t worry, it’s not just about technology—any kind of project is welcome.
Tech Tuesday is the perfect opportunity to visit Hack Manhattan and check out what it’s all about.
Bring a project and get to work, use our tools, drink a homebrew beer, hang out, and draw on advice from our wonderful community. Visitors are strongly encouraged to bring a project to work on, or at least a laptop.

Thicket’s Creative Futures workshops bring to light the spaces that inspire participants’ most collaborative mindsets. We will use this tech enabled workshop to gamify the data collection experience and generate informative visuals. This process will uncover deeper insights about the most effective collaborative spaces in your life to give you valuable information which can be used for a deeper and more productive experience the next time you collaborate.

AIT/Civic Hall Advocacy Workshop
Looking to be a more engaged, active citizen in 2017? The All In Together Campaign is bringing you an in-person, action-oriented workshop on how to (really) drive change in the political process and make your voice count. In this 90-minute session, we’ll explore:
— How government (federal, state and local) works and who represents you
— Proven tools and tactics to influence on the political system
— How to prioritize the issues you care about (and be an effective advocate on behalf of them
— Tips for having difficult (but productive) political conversations

What You Need To Know About Bitcoin & Blockchain
Want to actually know what you’re talking about when it comes to Blockchain & Bitcoin?
Join us at Civic Hall for a 1.5 hr comprehensive classroom-style seminar for people with basic and intermediate knowledge of Blockchain/Bitcoin. We will go into both the technical aspects of how it works and the practical aspects of how to use it.

On Sunday, September 24th, 2017, we will reconvene our community to deepen our mutual understanding. The theme for this year’s edition will be “With Great Data comes Great Responsibility,” or how data science can be applied to solve public interest problems without losing its soul.

Announcing an event connecting Civic Hall and Ali Forney Center (AFC), which provides housing and supportive services for LGBTQI young people, whilst empowering them with the tools needed to live independently. On Sept 26 at midday, Streetlives and Civic Hall are hosting youths on the AFC LEAP job readiness program for a workshop and lunch event “JOIN THE TEAM YOU WANT!“
