On Saturday, Cathy Wissink and I attended a series of Ignite talks as part of the local National Day of Civic Hacking hosted by Code for Boston at the CIC. The talks were AWESOME. A few highlights include:
- Resilient Coder‘s Micah Martin talked about his own journey to empowerment through coding.
- Cambridge City Councilor and Danger! Awesome owner Nadeem Mazen spoke about increasing civic engagement by inviting us aggressively back into creativity and encouraging us to run for office.
- MAPC Data Services’ Director Holly St. Clair gave tips on how to defeat zombie data projects. Tip #4: Aim for the head!
