
As part of our mission to bolster technology and the innovation economy in the Boston community, Microsoft has donated $1.5 million to the Museum of Fine Arts this week for software upgrades and licenses.
One of the MFA’s goals is to use the grant to improve the museum’s computing platform. The new software will help cataloging and digitizing the MFA’s database of nearly 500,000 works of art. It also includes business intelligence software that will help track visitor feedback, plan events, and more.
This is Microsoft’s first arts software grant to an institution in Boston. We look forward to seeing all the great ways the MFA leverages their new technology!
