This week on Microsoft Unboxed, Sonia and Colleen celebrate World Humanitarian Day and share stories of how organizations are fighting for justice with technology through Microsoft’s AI for Humanitarian Action program. First, Sonia talks about Microsoft’s partnership with the Clooney Foundation for Justice and the launch of their app, TrialWatch. This partnership builds on Microsoft’s ongoing partnership with the United Nations Human Rights office to respond to critical human rights situations around the world.

Then, Sonia shares the story of how Phulukisa is using cloud-enabled backpacks to help expand access to care in South Africa. By bringing care to the community, healthcare workers are able to screen and provide results to expectant mothers more quickly.
