Microsoft is now a premium sponsor of the Open Source Initiative, a global nonprofit dedicated to promoting and protecting open-source software through education, collaboration and infrastructure. The sponsorship is part of Microsoft’s increased involvement and contributions to thousands of open-source projects and organizations as it advocates for the use, contribution and release of open-source software, both with the company’s customers and the ecosystem at large.
