The fact that people and companies use a plethora of different video conferencing platforms means that meeting participants are often left scrambling to download software or plug-ins in order to access a video call.

Dutch startup Airwave aims to simplify video conferencing with their new, free Web-based platform. No plug-ins or software installations are necessary. All you need is a modern Web browser. Not only is Airwave easy to use but it also prides itself on its world-class security.

A Microsoft BizSpark member, Airwave turns to the Azure platform to keep their product running smoothly. Founder Olivier de Jong says, “We started off with a different service, but quickly encountered problems with downtime, deployment, scalability, etc. Then, on a recommendation, we switched to Azure, which provided us with the capability to run our business on a global scale. Now we can easily use and deploy our product.”
