eCamino mobile app offers tips and insights to travelers along Spain’s Camino de Santiago

Since the Middle Ages, The Camino de Santiago has drawn religious pilgrims and tourists to walk its path across Southern France and Northern Spain.

eCamino is a Hungarian startup whose Azure and SQLite-powered mobile app supports Camino travelers with 1200 point of interest (POI) stories. These POIs include insights and helpful directives about landmarks, food, accommodations, medical points and much more.

As Internet access can be spotty along the Camino, the app offers offline features like road map displays, emergency aid request and access to the Pilgrims Electronic Diary, which provides helpful tips, travel records and messages from previous travelers.
