OneDrive for Business updates include Office 2016 features, improved setup and new reporting portal

Starting April 12, OneDrive for Business will roll out updates that include important improvements and new capabilities in its sync, browser and mobile experiences, as well as new IT controls for administrators.

The update to the new OneDrive sync client includes Office 2016 features such as real-time co-authoring, opening documents from the Most Recent list and sharing documents from within the Office app. It’ll also be easier for anyone to get and install the new OneDrive sync client, with registry keys no longer needed on Windows or Terminal window on Mac. There’s also a new PDF viewing and annotation experience in the Outlook app for Android, which also now embeds Office Lens. And, a new reporting portal in the Office 365 admin center delivers key usage metrics for all Office 365 services, including OneDrive for Business.
