Make it a Happy Valentine’s Day with these apps, games and music

Oh l’amour! The 14th of February is only a few days away and with it a deluge of red paper hearts, roses and chocolates are bound to fly off the shelves. But now, you can also express your love – or deep like – through apps, games and music.

The Happy Valentine’s Day collection in the Windows Phone Store has gathered 30 of them for one-stop installing, such as the free Tom’s Love Letters (also available in the Windows Store), which provides the cutest-virtual-kitties-ever Talking Tom and Talking Angela as your personal Cupids. Choose from 19 romantic digital cards and four catchy love songs to send to significant other(s).

The aptly named Valentine turns your phone into fantasy of hearts and roses, with more than 40 wallpapers, and tons of ideas for romance and gift suggestions. Or, you could always spring for Digital Gift Cards in the Windows Store and Windows Phone Store – and apply Valentine’s Day designs on them, too!

Or maybe music is how you’d prefer to show your affection? Or set the mood? This week’s sales on the free Music Deals app (Windows Store and Windows Phone Store) deliver hit Valentine’s Throwback albums from Sade, Al Green, Teddy Pendergrass and Aretha Franklin for $6.99 each, a savings of at least 30 percent. For the same price, pick up Grammy winner Sam Smith’s album. And the new “Fifty Shades of Grey” soundtrack is $7.99 – a savings of 33 percent.

You’ll also find Valentine’s-themed updates in “FarmVille 2: Country Escape” (Johnny plans his proposal to Heidi and you can help him collect flowers, candy, a proposal banner and of course, the ring!) In “2020: My Country,” help Cupid organize a wedding ceremony, and complete various ventures and jobs to get romantic gifts. And, with “Mirrors of Albion,” foil the evil machinations of the Queen of Hearts, with numerous Valentine’s-themed quests along the way.

Find all these and more in the Happy Valentine’s Day collection in the Windows Phone Store and Windows Store.
