Just in time for the reanimation of a certain popular show about undead walkers, the Zombie collection has arrived to provide an adrenaline boost of games for Windows Phone, PCs and tablets.
“Dead Route” (free) delivers shivers even to “diehard” zombie fans, with ghouls on the move and blood flowing freely as the hardcore action unfolds. In “Zombie’s Got a Pogo” (free), your challenge is to keep this living dead character springing through numerous obstacle courses and deadly pitfalls, through bone-breaking crashes and head-splitting knockouts. And in “DEAD TARGET: Zombie” (free) you’re in charge of a special commando team that died trying to stop a zombie outbreak. Now you must stop a sinister corporation from sending the undead to kill you, too.
In the crazy combat of “Plants vs. Zombies” ($2.99), your only defense against a mob of fun-loving zombies is an arsenal of plants – everything from cherry bombs to wall-nuts. Or go for more intense with “Into the Dead” ($1.99), where the zombie apocalypse is all too alive and there are no second chances to get yourself out of harm’s way. Finally, there’s “GunFinger” (free), which offers an arsenal of weapons to keep a step or two ahead of the undead hillbilly hordes hot on your trail – everything from shotguns to sniper rifles.
If you’re a fan of this genre – and who isn’t, nowadays? – then run, don’t walk, to these games dedicated to the undead.
