Spotify gets a makeover and makes it easier to manage your music – App of the Week

Spotify’s latest update gives you a redesign that makes it easier to see in low lighting and manage music through the popular, free music streaming service.

I constantly listen to Spotify – especially as a way to follow up on music I’ve heard for the first time elsewhere. I’ve got several playlists that are my go-to for background work music and for road trips – but Spotify also provides ready-made lists to suit every mood. An updated Browse feature delivers even more relevant and localized content.

As the Lumia Conversations blog reports, “Spotify has a handy new feature called Your Music. If you like a song you’re listening to, touch the plus (+) button to the left of the song title, and Spotify will bookmark it. You can then share the song via Twitter and other social-media channels, add the song to a playlist, create a new playlist or start a radio station based on that track, and more.”

And if you upgrade to Spotify Premium, you can play any song, any time, on any device without any ads; and download music for offline listening.

Install Spotify for free from the Windows Phone Store and read more about it on the Lumia Conversations blog.
