New Office 365 and Moodle integration

Moodle users got some good news this week, with the release of plugins to integrate Office 365 with Moodle’s popular learning management system.

The tools allow teachers and students to sign into Office 365 and Moodle with the same ID. Users can sync Office 365 and Moodle calendars. They can use OneNote for class assignments and Moodle to communicate. Documents stored in OneDrive for Business can be automatically linked to Moodle courses.

“With new open source plugins, Office 365 and Moodle work together to bring a better and more productive classroom experience to teachers and students alike — and that’s just what educators have been asking for,” says Anthony Salcito, Microsoft Vice President of Worldwide Education in a blog post.

MS Open Tech and Moodle partner Remote-Learner released the plugins Monday and plan to demonstrate them this week at the BETT Show, the world’s largest education technology conference.
