In the weekly sale known as the Red Stripe Deals, a dozen Windows and Windows Phone games and apps are available for at least half-off. The newest batch includes an adventure set amongst pirates in the Caribbean, a steampunk detective drama and a photo collage app.
In “Assassin’s Creed Pirates” ($1.99 in both the Windows Phone Store and Windows Store, normally $4.49) you become one of the most feared pirates of the Caribbean, Alonzo Batilla. He is eager to break rules, challenge empires and make his fortune. You’ll fight in real-time naval battles, choosing from a wide range of weapons to destroy your enemies, and acquire famous boats from the Golden Age of Piracy. Upgrade your vessel using the bounty plundered through your encounters, recruit crew members and learn more than 50 new pirating techniques. You’ll also cross paths with Assassins and Templars, as well as that era’s most colorful pirates: Sam Bellamy, Ben Hornigold and Blackbeard.
Other titles you’ll find on sale until Sept. 24: “Clockwork Tales (Full)” ($1.49 in the Windows Phone Store), “Clockwork Tales: Of Glass and Ink (Full)” ($3.49 in the Windows Store), Phototastic Pro (99 cents in the Windows Phone Store and $1.49 in the Windows Store), “King Oddball” ($1.49 in both the Windows Phone Store and Windows Store), “Doodle Kingdom” (99 cents in the Windows Phone Store and $1.49 in the Windows Store), “Radiant Defense” ($1.49) and “Mega Run” (99 cents).
