Put your strategy for the Internet of Things into place using Microsoft’s tools

May 2, 2014

The Internet of Things can sound like an overwhelming term, but for a business, its applications are varied and vitally important: It can mean giving you a clearer understanding of how many people are in your store each hour, or what the average temperature is in your largest machine room, or how long it takes to get prescriptions from your hospital pharmacy to the patients, writes Barb Edson on the Windows Embedded blog.

Microsoft recently announced the Microsoft Azure Intelligent Systems Service, which provides the tools and expertise you need to bring the Internet of Things to life for your business. If you’re still working to develop a strategy for the Internet of Things, Microsoft has the expertise to help you get started, she writes. And if your strategy is solidly in place, Microsoft has the technologies and services you need to refine that strategy while making the most of the data and devices in your business.

Microsoft’s data and business intelligence tools can help you create actionable insights from data you may already have, and you may already have the software and tools you need to get started, Edson writes.
