During the big game weekend, Xbox offers free short rides in Manhattan via Uber

Jan 30, 2014

Xbox is teaming up with Uber for the big game this weekend, offering free 20-minute rides to fans in downtown Manhattan Jan. 30, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, and giving away prizes to every pickup. Riders will also get the chance to receive a grand prize of two tickets to Sunday’s game.

If you’re between 42nd Street and Houston Street, Hudson River to East River from 7 to 11 p.m. ET on those days, and you open the Uber app, you’ll automatically see an option to call on one of the Xbox One fleet SUVs for a pickup, writes Xbox Wire.

“You can also track the Xbox One SUV fleet via the ‘Nexus’ markers moving around the map of the city in the Uber app. Rides in the Xbox One fleet are limited to an average of 20 minutes, but every ride recipient will receive an Xbox One prize giveaway.”

If you’re picked as the winner, you’ll be handed your big game tickets right there in the car, Xbox Wire notes. Other prizes will include Xbox One consoles, popular Xbox titles like “Madden 25” and “Forza Motorsport 5,” Xbox “swag” and NFLShop.com gift cards. Entrants need to be at least 18 years old to participate.
