The Blackstone Inclusive Entrepreneurship Challenge (BX Challenge) is a program ran by ChicagoNEXT and the Blackstone Foundation that distributes grants to Chicago-based nonprofits who are building programs focused on inclusive entrepreneurship.
The inaugural Challenge will award up to $3 million in grant funding over 3 years to jumpstart organizations that help these communities build and scale startups in Chicago. This is the first time that grant funding has been leveraged for a city of Chicago’s size.
In Shelley Stern Grach’s latest Civic Chat: Networking Our Neighborhoods, she connects with Jimmy Odom, Co-Founder and CEO of Bit Capital Group and Director of Inclusive Entrepreneurship at ChicagoNEXT. The two discuss the BX Challenge, Jimmy’s role, and how we can benefit Chicago to grow inclusiveness in entrepreneurship.
