This week, we were able to meet with some of Chicago’s biggest data enthusiasts for our monthly Chicago City Data Users Group. This month’s theme was City of Chicago Planning & Development Data, featuring Brad McConnell, the Deputy Commissioner for Planning and Operations for the City of Chicago. The night explored how the Department of Planning and Development (DPD) promotes the comprehensive growth and well-being of the City and its neighborhoods, as well as brainstorming how the DPD can better use data for decision-making and civic engagement.
