Here at Microsoft, we are committed to technological advancement, and we know that starts with our kids. That’s why our Technology and Civic Engagement team dedicates so much time and attention to STEM education. We know a skills gap exists, and we want to inspire everyone to learn about the STEM field. Microsoft is a strong supporter in computer science education in particular, and in Chicago, we do our best to connect with schools and students that embrace CS.
From December 8 through December 14, we will be celebrating Computer Science Education Week, and we encourage you to join us. From hosting a Skype in the Classroom call, to supporting YouthSpark efforts, to participating in the Hour of Code, every little bit counts in encouraging our students to grow and innovate in STEM and beyond.
