Changing the world, one campaign at a time: Typeface’s bold bet on agentic marketing

Abhay Parasnis, founder and CEO of Typeface, is on a mission to transform how brands build and deploy global marketing campaigns by leveraging agentic workflows.
“After years working with global brands, we saw a persistent paradox: companies were investing heavily in data and analytics, yet still struggled to turn those insights into personalized, on-brand content at scale,” said Parasnis.
Traditional marketing tech tools were off-brand, Parasnis noted, and agencies were slow and expensive. Digital asset management systems became graveyards for unused content. Marketers were under constant pressure to move faster, personalize more and maintain brand integrity but lacked the right tools.
Parasnis, a former Adobe chief technology officer, saw an opportunity to incorporate agentic workflows into marketing and founded Typeface in 2022. Today, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company is driving measurable impact. Customers are producing more content, cutting campaign timelines by up to 90%, and seeing incredible engagement. One client, a Fortune 100 telecom, increased email click-through rates by 93%. A banking client reduced campaign production from six weeks to just 7.5 hours.
“Marketers are moving beyond just creating content to orchestrating multi-channel campaigns where every message feels tailored for the right audience, channel and moment,” Parasnis said.
A new era of creativity
The name “Typeface” is inspired by the printing press era. For the first hundred years, every book was printed in the same font–until typefaces were invented, allowing for personalized storytelling. Just as that technical shift unlocked a new era of creativity, Parasnis said, AI has the power to again transform how people and brands tell their stories in their unique voices–and create deeply personalized campaigns across every channel.
“As a company that’s committed to pushing the boundaries of agentic marketing, working with Microsoft has been essential in helping us build a strong foundation and scale,” Parasnis said. “The Microsoft for Startups program has helped us accelerate our expansion, open doors to new markets, and build credibility with enterprise customers.”
From bold ideas to scalable businesses
In the heart of the Bay Area, where innovation meets ambition, Microsoft for Startups is helping founders like Parasnis turn bold ideas into scalable businesses. The program offers early-stage startups access to technologies, enterprise-level networks and resources to scale and grow their businesses.
Ran Wei, head of marketing for Microsoft for Startups, emphasizes the founder-first approach, which showcases entrepreneurs who are shaping the future of innovation, both in the Bay Area and beyond.
“Agentic marketing is one of the most exciting shifts I’ve seen in the marketing industry,” said Wei. “Startups like Typeface are showing us what’s possible when marketers evolve from content creators to strategic orchestrators, using AI to deliver hyper-personalized, on-brand storytelling at scale. It’s not just about speed or automation anymore; it’s about unlocking authenticity in every campaign. We’re looking forward to continuing to be a part of Typeface’s growth as they leverage Azure to help bring this vision to reality and scale their solutions more broadly across industries.”
Working closely with Microsoft gave Typeface access to cutting-edge technology, Parasnis said, which helped the startup unlock new opportunities and deliver solutions for some of the world’s largest brands. Through its collaboration with Microsoft, Typeface also gained access to enterprise clients in Fortune 500 industries that would be hard for an early-stage company to engage on its own. Microsoft’s endorsement provided instant legitimacy.
