How do you give?
At Microsoft, volunteerism is at the heart of our employee engagement mission, empowering our employees to make an impact through personal giving. Throughout the year, we provide our employees unique opportunities to give back, connecting them to nonprofits through skills-based volunteering, matching donations of both time and money, and incorporating volunteerism into our employees’ day-to-day life.
This year, we’re excited to join National Volunteer Week (April 23-29), a week of service building, appreciation, and overall celebrations of volunteerism. Together with Points of Light, our team is spending the week at nonprofits, schools, and other service facilities around the Bay Area to uplift, assist, and serve.
Here are some of the employee service-based events our team will be hosting this week in the Bay Area:
- Monday-Friday — On-campus Micro-volunteering
- Tuesday & Wednesday — Blood Drive with Blood Centers of the Pacific
- Tuesday — Stay Late and Code (SLAC)
- Saturday — Service Day in the Bay with City Year Care Force at Brentwood Academy and Boys & Girls Club in East Palo Alto
