It’s March and we’re feeling lucky. Join us this month at some of the top civic tech events around the Bay Area.

March 2 — Women in Health Tech @ Grand Rounds

Grand Rounds launches a new discussion series about Women in HealthTech. Their first event is on March 2nd at their headquarters in San Francisco. Grand Rounds combines world-class medicine, consumer technology and data science to make high-quality care accessible to all.

March 2-3 — Accelerate Good Conference

Accelerate Good Global is a sector-defining event, uniting tech nonprofit entrepreneurs, technology leaders, and philanthropists who believe in leveraging tech for good. Join the conversation on social media: #AGG17

March 3 — Social ImpHacked: Socially Good Hacking

Hack good. Build things nonprofits need now. Calling all engineers, designers, data scientists, and generally enthusiastic individuals! Social ImpHacked brings together tech and nonprofit worlds to provide technical assistance for local Bay Area nonprofits.

March 4 — 2017 North Bay Make-A-Thon

Over the course of 12 hours, students and industry professionals will design and build innovative art, educational and sustainability innovations, web applications, mobile apps, hardware and more, which will be judged on creativity, originality, utility and team work by a panel of industry leaders.

March 4-12 — San Diego Festival of Science and Engineering

The Biocom Institute Festival of Science and Engineering is a ten-day educational experience including interactive demonstrations, hands-on activities and dynamic speakers to engage kids and families in all that encompasses STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). The week kicks off with its largest event EXPO Day (March 4, 2017) at PETCO Park. EXPO Day is free and open to the public. Hundreds of community businesses and organizations will participate in EXPO Day in addition to over 60 programs and events that will follow throughout the week all throughout the county of San Diego.

March 8 — Confluence 2017: Spring of AI – What it means for Automation & Engineering

Confluence is Zinnov’s annual thought leadership summit. Confluence 2017 will help leaders to understand SPRING of AI : What it means for Automation & Engineering. It will bring together eminent industry thought leaders from the eco-system, luminaries from the academia and industry gurus; who have successfully crossed the chasm and have accomplished this change.

March 10 — Girls in Tech’s 10th Anniversary Party!

It wouldn’t be a birthday without a party. Whip out your party hats and bring your dancing shoes. Girls in Tech will be celebrating 10 years of success in style, alongside some of the biggest names in Silicon Valley. They’ll have delicious eats, cocktails, DJ, surprise fun throughout the night—plus plenty of swag to share with you.

March 18 — #WomenHack – The All-Women Hackathon San Francisco

A one day hackathon for women, from experienced coders to total newbies. Come with an idea or join a team on-site and spend the day building a great project with enthusiastic, fun people.

March 22 — Life Learnings in Tech

Join “Life Learnings” to connect with the community, get inspired, motivated & learn from awesome speakers what they learned & how they found their passion & turned it into their career.

March 23 — Tech for Games Meetup

March 23 — San Jose Tech Security Conference 2017

Since 1999, Data Connectors has been dedicated to producing high-quality executive symposiums that focus on driving the future of business in the new age of the digital economy. These technology security conferences regularly feature 30-60 vendor exhibits as well as 8-12 industry experts from the respective market discussing current issues such as email security, LAN security, wireless security, social media security, cloud security, compliance and more.

March 24 — Blockchain Hackathon | Bitcoin for your Thoughts?

Bitcoin For Your Thoughts is an event aimed to introduce both new and experienced developers to some of the groundbreaking tools that are allowing us to build with the blockchain in ever more innovative and exciting ways. Join us for a weekend of crypto-hacking, meet other blockchain enthusiasts, and get the opportunity to show off your skills. Your team will also get to present your project to a panel of judges for a chance to win one of three great prizes!

March 24-25 — Women in Tech Festival 2017

Join us for TWO amazing days to inspire, empower, and support women in tech! Silicon Valley Forum’s Women in Tech Festival celebrates women in tech, STEM, and business careers who work to inspire, engage, and empower other women. Since the inaugural event in 2015, the Women in Tech Festival has encouraged women – and men who support the advancement of women – to join together for a day of inspiring talks, insights on how technology is powering change, and educational workshops. We aim to create a platform for you to create lasting connections, and exchange ideas in a welcoming, supportive and fun environment.

March 28 — Latinos in Tech: Getting Beyond the 3%

This conversation, co-hosted by Latino Community Foundation and The Kapor Center for Social Impact, will focus on Latino-led organizations who are advancing solutions to build the STEM pipeline for Latino students, ensuring they have access to 21st Century job opportunities.
