Igniting Social Change Through Volunteerism

The holiday season is all about giving, and many (Microsoft included) use this as an opportunity to give back. While the season — and days like Giving Tuesday — are great moments, we’re committed to giving back year-round, and our latest issue of Catalyst focuses on just that.

At Microsoft, we understand that each community has different priorities and concerns, so our volunteerism extends to each area we can reach. Microsoft boosts our employees’ commitment to volunteerism by donating $25 for every volunteer hour they give to a nonprofit, making dollar-to-dollar matches for employees’ personal monetary donations, and providing training for prospective nonprofit board members.

Our special volunteerism issue of Catalyst focuses on all the volunteer areas and opportunities where our employees and partners are focused, and celebrates the organizations going above and beyond the call. We’re hoping these stories will inspire you to join us in our daily commitment to making a difference.
