California Plans on Computer Science Classes Statewide

By 2018, more than half of all science and technology jobs are projected to be in computer-science-related fields, yet only one in four high schools offers computer science. California is working to introduce a comprehensive plan for computer science education across the state. Assembly Bill 2329 would establish an advisory panel to develop the strategic plan, which would consider curriculum standards, instructor requirements, and how to encourage students of all genders and backgrounds to participate in computer science courses.
