Advances in information technology present new opportunities for enhancing and building smarter cities that better engage informed citizens, and utilize resources in a smarter and more sustainable manner. Developing useful technologies to solve urban problems requires understanding management and operational issues from the perspective of civic leaders, and leveraging a range of IT approaches to work towards solutions.
There will be paper presentations, tutorials, and panels on current technologies, methodologies, and case studies, a poster session to showcase recent projects, plus brainstorming/planning sessions for follow-up initiatives.
