On November 5th the Silicon Valley Business Journal honored local businesses and nonprofits at its annual Corporate Philanthropy Awards. Microsoft and other top 50 corporate givers in the region came together to recognize local philanthropic work in the areas of education, healthcare and arts/culture.
Microsoft Silicon Valley was honored with the #12 spot on the ‘Top 50 Givers’ list; 2014 rankings were based on companies’ cash donations to local Silicon Valley non-profits. Our own Jessica Weare, Philanthropy and Civic Engagement Manager, accepted the award on Microsoft’s behalf. Every award recipient was challenged with accepting the award in ten words or less.
