1) The Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Corporate Philanthropy Awards

This Wednesday Microsoft and other top 50 corporate givers in Silicon Valley will come together for the Corporate Philanthropy Awards. The Silicon Valley Business Journal event recognizes the philanthropic work of Silicon Valley businesses and nonprofits in the fields of education, health care, and arts and culture. The ranking of the top 50 companies will be announced the night of the event and Jessica Weare, Philanthropy and Civic Engagement Manager, will accept the award on Microsoft’s behalf. The top 50 companies will be recognized in a special Silicon Valley Business Journal publication on November 7th.

2) Tech In Motion’s Rise of the Robots: Interactive Tech Talk

Tech in Motion is hosting its first robotics meet-up on the Microsoft campus this Wednesday evening. The event will showcase some of the hottest robots on the market today. From educational to crime fighting, even personal assistants; all areas of robotics will be on display at this event. Knightscope, Savioke, and Aldebaran Robotics will be on site and demoing their latest robotics, plus a Leap Motion controller will be raffled off at this event!

As we start the countdown to We Day 2015, the California Free The Children’s Youth Summit is a fun and inspiring way to get involved right now. The Youth Summit is a full day of interactive workshops, activities, and empowering speeches geared to share the knowledge and skills needed to help shape a better world at the local and global level. 4) Technonomy 2014 Conference

Hundreds of diverse leaders from around the globe and various sectors will assemble in Half Moon Bay this weekend to participate in Techonomy’s 2014 conference. The conference focuses on topics involving the intersection of technology, economics, policy, and society.
