Trailblazer Race benefitting Stevens Creek Trail – 20th Annual

Trailblazer Race

On September 28th, Microsoft hosted the Friends of Stevens Creek Trail’s Trailblazer Race at our campus in Mountain View. Sunday’s turnout was the largest in the race’s 20-year history: including volunteers, runners and spectators, 1,200 people participated in the event and Team Microsoft totaled more than 250 people. A fitness event for all ages, we debuted the wearable ‘Misfit Shine’ personal activity tracker for the Windows Phone at the Microsoft tent, and gave away Misfit Shines to 20 lucky race participants.

The event marked the 12th consecutive year Microsoft has hosted the race. The funds raised go directly to the Friends of Stevens Creek Trail to help the organization with its habitat rehabilitation efforts for the urban trail that serves as a healthy commute option for thousands of people—including our own local Microsoft employees. As Friends of Stevens Creek Trail’s major technology partner, Microsoft is proud to team with the organization and help it reach its ultimate goal of extending the trail from the San Francisco Bay to the Pacific Ocean.

Thank you to all who came out, we look forward to seeing you next year!
