Microsoft is currently looking to hire for several open positions related to accessibility. Here is a summary of each position:
Accessibility Learning & Development Strategist (Non-engineering)
In this new role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a community and learning strategy to support the growth and development of non-engineering accessibility communities at Microsoft. We are looking for creative candidates with strong learning and development (L&D) background, understanding of development cycle, authoring timeframes and different delivery modalities. Some responsibilities would include the scoping of detailed training requirements, learning objectives, key learning metrics, and measures of effectiveness. Oversee the design and development of formal and informal learning solutions that include instructor led programs, videos, self-study, brown bags, online courses, etc.
Accessibility Senior Program Manager
You will be responsible for understanding global requirements (standards, legislation and regulation) and working with key decision makers to communicate/translate them into hard requirements. You will collaborate with multiple engineering teams to design and implement accessibility solutions. Successfully driving this work from outside the product groups requires strong collaboration and negotiation skills to impact and influence these teams. Create trusted and effective relationships across the company to drive accessibility initiatives to successful outcomes. Act as an overall accessibility subject matter expert across the company

We are looking for creative candidates with strong learning and development (L&D) background, understanding of development cycle, authoring timeframes and different delivery modalities. Some responsibilities would include the scoping of detailed training requirements, learning objectives, key learning metrics, and measures of effectiveness. Oversee the design and development of formal and informal learning solutions that include instructor led programs, videos, self-study, brown bags, online courses, etc.
Accessibility Policy, Standards, and Procedures Strategist
This position is responsible for understanding global requirements (standards, legislation and regulation) and working with key decision makers to communicate/translate them into actionable engineering requirements for Microsoft. As part of this role you will collaborate with the TwC Policy team to ensure that the procedures and processes for creating Policies, Standards, and Procedures (PSPs) are followed.
Software Development Engineer
The Windows team is looking for a strong SDE with a passion for accessibility and the ability to deliver on an aggressive schedule of improvements in our Accessibility feature set. Responsibilities include driving end to end performance improvements in our screen reading technology, enhancing/extending the XAML accessibility, UIAutomation pattern support for controls and targeted improvements in Magnifier and UIAutomation core.
