The Disability Answer Desk in French & Spanish

The Disability Answer Desk (DAD), in collaboration with our French and Spanish support colleagues, are excited to share that DAD support is available in French and Spanish speaking countries; specifically France, Belgium, Canada, Mexico and Spain.  French phone support is currently available from Monday – Friday between the hours of  1pm – 7pm CET (07.00 AM -13.00 PM for French Canada)  Spanish phone support is currently available Monday – Friday from 8am – 5pm CET. We are interested to hear from our French and Spanish speaking customers with disabilities and those who have accessibility related questions and/or are looking for help with their assistive technologies.

Over three years ago, the Microsoft Disability Answer Desk (DAD) became a reality.  In our early days, DAD was available in US English with limited business hours.  Next, we expanded DAD to include three more English speaking countries and expanded hours.  The mission of DAD was then and is now to support customers with disabilities, answer questions about accessibility  and work with customers who use assistive technology to navigate Microsoft products and services.  In October 2014, we announced the expansion of DAD to 11 more English speaking countries and further expanding our availability.  In April, DAD became available in American Sign Language (ASL) to better support our customers who have hearing related disabilities and prefer to speak in their native language of ASL.

To date, the feedback from customers using DAD as a resource have been largely positive, comments indicate customers appreciate talking to technical support agents who know what their needs are and understand the use of assistive technologies.  The DAD Agents in all these countries and languages can help you with Windows and Office.  With the release of Windows 10, they can help you understand compatibility questions with 3rd party assistive technologies and help with the upgrade if needed.

We look forward to hearing from you, assisting you with any issues you may be having and knowing how we are doing in support of your needs.  Thank you for being a Microsoft product user and customer.
