Accessible Packaging for the Xbox Adaptive Controller

The Xbox Adaptive Controller’s accessible package design

Earlier this year, we announced the Xbox Adaptive Controller – a first-of-its-kind controller for gamers with limited mobility. As we continue our journey to make gaming for everyone, we are incorporating inclusive design into the complete consumer experience, including product packaging.

We relied on tester feedback to help rethink how we package our products and what we can do to make the out-of-box experience more inclusive. As we worked through different iterations for the packaging, we also wanted gamers to immediately know this is part of the Xbox ecosystem while accessible for all gamers. Check out Story Labs to learn more about the design process for the Xbox Adaptive Controller’s accessible packaging.

The Xbox Adaptive Controller – complete with accessible packaging – is available for gamers in September of this year, and available for pre-order now for $99.99 USD from Microsoft Store.
