Dialogue on IPR Best Practices in China

This week in Beijing, I had the opportunity to deliver a keynote speech on intellectual property rights best practices at the invitation of the United States Ambassador to China.  My talk was part of a half-day event entitled “The Ambassador’s IPR Dialogue” featuring government officials and industry leaders representing China, the U.S., and several other countries.  It is another example of broadened interest in stronger IPR protections as a way to promote healthy innovation and spur job creation in China, the U.S. and around the world.  As I said in my remarks, we are encouraged by China’s recent declarations concerning IPR protections, and we are ready to work together with government and industry partners to produce meaningful and lasting results.
