Xbox One heads to 29 new markets around the world

Xbox One is coming to 29 new markets, Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, announced Tuesday.

“I have said many times before that it has never been a better time to be an Xbox One gamer,” Spencer writes in a blog post. “And with the upcoming launches of highly-anticipated games like ‘Destiny,’ ‘Forza Horizon 2’ and ‘FIFA 15’ this month, gamers around the world will be able to play a few of the first titles from the incredible holiday lineup coming to Xbox One.”

The markets and dates of availability are: Sept. 2, Chile and Colombia; Sept. 4, Japan; Sept. 5, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Arab Emirates; Sept. 15, Israel; Sept. 23, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan; Sept. 23, China; and Sept. 26, Russia. “For gamers in Argentina, we’ll have more to share on our launch plans shortly,” Spencer writes.
