Gameplay in “Mortal Kombat X” from NetherRealm falls somewhere between its previous “Mortal Kombat” and the developer’s more recent fighting endeavor, “Injustice: Gods Among Us” — it’s gross and gruesome, giving fighters an internal view of the damage they do to their opponents, writes Xbox Wire.
One of the new female characters, Cassie Cage, is “more realistic than one expects from the series. Well, as realistic as a half-bug, half-woman who spits acid and emits swarms of insects can be.” (And yes, Cage is the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade.)
“Mortal Kombat X” comes to Xbox One and Xbox 360 next year. To learn more, head over to Xbox Wire.
