Xbox One updates begin rolling out this week, bringing external storage, real names and more

Highly anticipated Xbox One features, including external storage, the ability to use your real name on Xbox Live and improved SmartGlass integration, begin rolling out globally this week.

With the addition of external storage support, your Xbox One system can use up to two external hard drives at once. You’ll just need to plug in your 256GB or larger USB 3.0 external hard drive, and once it’s formatted, you can copy and move games, apps and game add-ons to increase your storage capacity at home.

You can also take your content with you to a friend’s house, and get right into a game directly from an external drive.
