“Metro Redux” is the latest release in the “Metro” series of first-person shooters, which debuted on Xbox 360 and Windows in 2010 with “Metro 2033.” That game had players facing off against mutants and other humans in a hellish post-apocalyptic world.
The forthcoming “Metro Redux” is a “director’s cut” of sorts and contains revamped versions of “Metro 2033” and its sequel, “Metro: Last Light.” It was built from the ground up to take advantage of the Xbox One’s new hardware. In addition to newer graphics, the game will also feature revamped gameplay mechanics, including more intuitive HUD elements and improved stealth takedowns. “Metro Redux” will also allow players to play in two added modes, “Spartan” and “Survival,” which feature interesting tweaks on gameplay.
You’ll be able to get “Metro Redux” on Xbox One later this summer. To learn more about the game, head over to Xbox Wire.
