Meet the indie minds behind ‘Super Time Force,’ coming May 14

Independent studio Capybara Games is releasing “Super Time Force,” May 14 for Xbox One and Xbox 360, and it “certainly bears our hallmarks: familiar mechanics taken in a far-out direction, beautifully stylized art, jokes and barf,” says Dan Vader, the game’s co-designer, level designer and writer.

Vader talks with Xbox Wire about the classic-styled sidescrolling shooter, in which players have 30 lives to run and blast their way through levels. “We’ve never done anything this … ‘splodey before, but in some ways, it feels like the most ‘Capy’ game to me,” Vader says.

Capybara, which also created “Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP,” “Critter Crunch” and “Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes,” was started in 2003 by a group of recent graduates.
