Cindy Bates leads Microsoft’s efforts to help small business owners realize their full potential through the use of technology, and she draws from all kinds of successes for inspiration, including sports.
Several months ago, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson join Bates and her team at an annual All Hands team meeting. Wilson talked about his pursuit of excellence and his winning mindset. The team went on to win the Super Bowl.
After the big win, Bates read an article about the strategies Seahawks’ coach Pete Carroll is using to try to get to the Super Bowl again – and win, again. Among them: “You’ve got to know how you got there so you can repeat it again. Take the time to celebrate your success, but also make time to examine what you did to achieve it. Once you identify your own best practices, you can repeat them, and repeat your success.”
Head over to the Microsoft SMB Blog to read the rest of Carroll’s insights.
