The boys of summer are back and the MLB.TV app for Windows has been updated with a bevy of new features for fans of Major League Baseball.
Here’s what’s new for the 2014 MLB season: a Pitch F/X widget that tracks the location of each pitch, a clickable line score for navigating the game stream by inning, a Twitter widget for following social networking commentary during the game and a scoreboard overlay in full-screen mode.
MLB.TV already allows fans to watch every out-of-market regular season MLB game live and on demand in HD-quality with an MLB.TV Premium subscription (though blackout restrictions do apply). That’s nearly 2,500 games to watch live or on-demand—almost 100 games per week during the regular season. Also, for Gold users without a subscription, MLB.TV offers a free Game of the Day.MLB.TV Premium subscribers can also choose between the home or away broadcasts of a game.
In addition, fans have live game DVR controls at their fingertips so they can pause, play, rewind and fast forward as needed, live and archived radio broadcasts, full-screen video, closed captioning (where available) and favorite team support so they can follow their ball club of choice.
So grab your peanuts and Cracker Jacks, download the MLB.TV app from the Windows Store and get ready to watch the big game!
