Announcing the release of Node.js Tools for Visual Studio

Over the last few years, Node.js has become a popular JavaScript-based server-side development language.  Visual Studio has been developing Node.js tools and Friday, announced the availability of Node.js Tools for Visual Studio 1.0 Beta.

Visual Studio is a great environment for developing your Node.js applications, writes S. Somasegar. The 1.0 beta release includes new capabilities that will bring the tool to more developers as well as create a better overall experience.

New features include: expanding support to Visual Studio Express for Web, debugging enhancements and Azure worker role support, which enables you to build managed backend services loosely coupled to your front-end web endpoints.
