Xbox chief Phil Spencer discusses his new role

Phil Spencer, the new head of Xbox, talks about a variety of topics in the video interview above with Xbox’s Major Nelson. Among them are his thoughts on leading the Xbox team going forward, his laser focus on games and the upcoming E3 event.

Want to give Spencer a piece of your mind? He may have already heard your comments, as he pays close attention to gamer feedback in forums. “I learn a ton from listening to the feedback,” he says in the interview.

“That two-way dialogue between us and the fans will be important as we drive this product forward.”

Spencer was tapped Monday by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to lead the Xbox, Xbox Live and creative teams including Xbox Music, Xbox Video and Microsoft Studios.
